In 2016, BuildIT, according to its name, observes the integration of IT and construction from the point of view of technological solutions of smart buildings. This consists of the problems and opportunities of smart buildings, concerning management and reliability of its components. Questions like – what is the situation of smart buildings on the construction market of Estonia, how does one control building automation, what are the opportunities to enhance “wisdom” of those buildings et cetera – are included.
Additionally, a panel discussion is held regarding subjects like how is continual energy efficiency assured, if it’s possible to establish a comfortable habitat while being energy efficient or is threat of maleficent use of smart technology feasible.
On the first day of the event, the conference consists of topical lectures, which by the end of the day will be completed with a panel discussion. On the following day, competitions and workshops enable participants to use their obtained knowledge in practice, as well as take part in competitions that are held every year (e.g building a paper bridge and drafting on Autocad) and visit a traide fair, where companies introduce themselves and their products.
